سابقه و هدف: داشتن فرزند عقب‌مانده ذهنی علاوه بر مشکلات مالی و اجتماعی، با پیامدهای روان‌شناختی همراه است که والدین این فرزندان تجربه می‌کنند؛ به‌خصوص مادران این کودکان در معرض آسیب‌های متعدد و استرس‌های شدید محیطی هستند. برخی عوامل تشدیدکننده یا تسهیل‌کننده این استرس‌ها هستند. هدف از پژوهش حاضر پیش‌بینی استرس ادراک‌شده مادران دارای فرزند عقب‌مانده ذهنی بر اساس معنویت‌گرایی و پنج عامل شخصیت بود.
روش کار: طرح پژوهش از نوع همبستگی بود که جامعه آماری آن شامل مادران دارای فرزند عقب‌مانده ذهنی در شهر قم در سال تحصیلی 98-1397 بودند که با روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی 150 نفر انتخاب شدند. به‌منظور جمع‌آوری داده‌ها از پرسش‌نامه‌های استرس ادراک‌شده کوهن، معنویت‌گرایی پارسیان و دونینگ و پرسش‌نامه شخصیت نئو استفاده شد. داده‌ها با استفاده از نرم‌افزار SPSS نسخه 23 و آزمون همبستگی پیرسون و رگرسیون خطی چندگانه تحلیل شدند.
یافته‌ها: نتایج آزمون همبستگی نشان داد از بین مؤلفه‌های معنویت‌گرایی، مؤلفه خودآگاهی همبستگی مثبت و معناداری با استرس ادراک‌شده داشت (18/0=R؛ 03/0P). همبستگی بین استرس ادراک‌شده با پنج عامل شخصیت مثبت و معنادار بود که با روان‌رنجوری (29/0=R؛ 001/0P)، برون‌گرایی (18/0=R؛ 03/0P)، بازبودن به تجربه (19/0=R؛ 02/0P)، موافق بودن (17/0=R؛ 03/0P) و وظیفه‌شناس بودن (19/0=R؛ 02/0P) مشاهده شد. نتایج رگرسیون نشان داد خودآگاهی (058/0R2=) از ابعاد معنویت‌گرایی و عامل شخصیتی روان‌رنجوری (097/0R2=) پیش‌بینی‌کننده استرس ادراک‌شده مادران کودکان عقب‌مانده بودند.
نتیجه‌گیری: بر اساس نتایج پژوهش معنویت‌گرایی به‌ویژه بعد خودآگاهی و پنج عامل شخصیت به‌ویژه بعد روان‌رنجوری توانایی پیش‌بینی استرس ادراک‌شده مادران دارای فرزند عقب‌مانده ذهنی را داشتند. لذا شناسایی عوامل شخصیتی ایجاد استرس در مادران دارای کودک عقب‌مانده ذهنی و ارائه حمایت‌های اجتماعی-روانی به‌ویژه برنامه‌های معنویت‌محور سلامت روان مادران دارای کودک عقب‌مانده ذهنی را تسهیل می‌کند.
