Background and Objectives: Linguistic dyslexia can reduce children’s mental health and hopefulness, making interventions in this area essential. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Islamic-spiritual skills training on hope and mental health in children with linguistic dyslexia.

Methods: This quasi-experimental study was conducted using a pre-test–post-test design with a control group. The population included 10-12-year-old children with linguistic dyslexia in Zahedan City, Iran, in 2025 who had visited the Hirmand Comprehensive Center. Forty eligible children were purposively selected and randomly assigned to the experimental group (12 sessions of Islamic-spiritual skills training) and the control group. The research instruments included the Goldberg general health questionnaire (1972) and the Miller hope questionnaire (1988). Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) in SPSS software, version 27.

Results: MANCOVA results indicated that spiritual skills training had a significant effect on the combined variables of hope and mental health (F=34.27, P<0.001). More specifically, MANCOVA showed a significant effect of the training on hope (F=42.56, η²=0.53) and mental health (F=38.12, η²=0.51, P<0.001).

Conclusion: Islamic-spiritual skills training, by activating internal resources, giving meaning to difficult experiences, and fostering a positive outlook, can effectively enhance hope and mental health in children with linguistic dyslexia and can be applied as a targeted intervention in educational and rehabilitation centers.
